Romantiques is a one-of-a-kind vintage collectibles store situated in Hermanus.  It was started in 2006 but rapidly outgrew its original premises and in 2011 moved to its current location in 14 Aberdeen Street.  From humble beginnings it has developed into a landmark shop in Hermanus, with customers travelling from far and wide to browse the wide selection of stock available.  It is not just a business selling antiques and collectables, it is a living museum in the very heart of Hermanus.

James Ludick and his team took over Romantiques in January 2021.  While leaving the essence of the Romantiques experience unchanged, it now offers card facilities and on-line purchases.

Romantiques has a vast range of items on display and for sale, from military memorabilia to vintage toys, from china to period clothing and everything in between.  In addition it boasts plenty of on-site parking, an intimate old-world theatre and a coffee shop in an attractive garden setting.
